Brian is a qualified, career banker with 39 years’ experience within the UK and Overseas (‘Egypt‘) marketplaces – working with Barclays Bank Plc, Halifax/Bank of Scotland Group, Clydesdale Bank (‘CYB‘), Lloyds Banking Group and Allied Irish Bank (GB), as well as time spent as an independent Contractor working on Interest Rate Derivative Redress Scheme.
The last 20 years have been spent exclusively, in the Commercial (SME) marketplace – and involved growing lending books in the Larger Loan market (sub £20m of Debt) and helping management teams to successful exit as well as transacting MBO’s for existing and New to Bank customers.
Following AIB(GB) decision to exit the British SME market, Brian facilitated the reduction in the lending book by pro-active customer contact and engagement, as well as utilising Market and Risk factors along with Institutional requirements to ensure the exit of the Loans/Customer. This led to the final role as Liaison between the Management for the sale remaining live and active loan book to a third-party Bank.
